Mohave County Sheriff Doug Schuster congratulated and welcomed a class of seven Detention Officer Graduates on Thursday, January 5 in Kingman. During the ceremony Sheriff Schuster said, “I am very proud to swear in this last class of detention officers. They have worked very hard and I wish them well in their new profession. I would also like to extend appreciation to our jail training staff. They work very hard to ensure we graduate top notch, well trained officers”.

The graduation class included Cory Dixon, Jessica Garcia, Brooke Greasby, Taylor Purdy, Trevor Redmond, James Rehkopf and Jonathan Young. The graduates successfully completed 4 weeks of academy training and will now undergo an additional 5 weeks of field training. Before becoming a detention officer these recruits participated in a 1-day testing process, which included a written examination, a physical agility test and an interview before a three-member panel.
