This is the fourth and final installment in our series regarding the ongoing dispute between the Kingman City Council and the Kingman Airport Authority. The two entities are likely headed to court as the Council attempts to dissolve the Authority and assume control of the Kingman Airport and Industrial Park.

The Council did not provide the Authority an opportunity to rebut comments made by members of the Kingman Airport Improvement Coalition during a highly critical presentation in late September. This series seeks to provide a platform for the KAA in order to tell both sides of this controversial story.

Maintenance Woes

The Kingman Airport has two runways and sits on more than 4,000 acres – making it far larger and therefore more difficult to maintain than any regional airport it has been compared to by those who seek to remove the Kingman Airport Authority as managers of the Kingman Airport and Industrial Park.
