LAKE HAVASU CITY – Mohave County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue units were deployed Tuesday afternoon to a single-vehicle rollover accident in a remote area near the Wing Mine east of the Lake Havasu City Airport.

At about 4:20 p.m., SAR Lake Havasu Unit was activated after receiving a call that a Toyota FJ Cruiser had rolled in a remote area with four occupants.

Search and Rescue members responded to Victoria Farms Road and headed east towards the Wing Mine, while Desert Hills Fire Department responded at Craggy Wash.  Search and rescue members located the vehicle, which had rolled several times before coming to a stop on the driver’s side. The occupants were a 66-year-old man, a 58-year-old woman and two children ages 7 and 9.

SAR members transported them to an awaiting ambulance, where they were evaluated and ultimately refused medical transport.  Arizona Department of Public Safety Ranger also assisted in the search.
