LAKE HAVASU CITY – For the second time in three days, a recreational vehicle fire has killed a person living near Lake Havasu City.

Mohave County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Trish Carter said deputies responded to a desert area near the Eureka Mine rock pit north of Lake Havasu City and Paso De Oro Drive late Monday morning.

There they found firefighters with the Lake Havasu City Fire Department battling two trailer fires.

Those firefighters found a body in a fire-ravaged fifth wheel, said Carter. The Desert Hills Fire Department is investigating, said Carter, and the victim’s identity is pending autopsy results.

On Saturday, an RV fire in the same area claimed the lives of a male and female.
