Founder Cherie DaLynn hopes ‘many, many’ area residents visit the facility

For the Luv of Paws will host its 11th Annual Open House from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 24 and Sunday, March 25, at 8115 W. Oatman Highway in Golden Valley.

The goal is to provide visitors a chance to tour the facility, have them meet staff and volunteers, and for them to meet and interact with the dogs, cats and ferrets. Refreshments will be provided and all children will receive a goody bag.

“My hope for this year’s open house is that many, many of the good people of Kingman and the surrounding areas will come and spend some time with us so they can see the facility that they supported through their donations and meet our wonderful pets awaiting their forever homes,” said Cherie DaLynn, founder and director of For the Luv of Paws.

“We want them to know, firsthand, that we strive to be a rescue and sanctuary that they and all of the residents of Mohave County can be proud of.”

Even though it is not mandatory, For the Luv of Paws will accept donations of cash or dog and cat food, in addition to supplies to help the rescue defray operating costs.

For the Luv of Paws is a nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible.

People interested in visiting the rescue and sanctuary can do so by exiting Interstate 40 at Shinarump Road and driving north to Oatman Road (Route 66) located about one-half mile north of the interstate. Turn left onto Oatman Highway and drive about 15 miles southwest to For the Luv of Paws, located on the right side of the road at milepost 33 between Cool Springs and Ed’s Camp.

If you’re traveling from Mohave Valley, you can do so by making a left onto Boundary Cone Road at Highway 95 and driving east through Oatman and continuing to milepost 33.
