KINGMAN – Two men are dead following separate traffic accidents Sunday and Monday.

Stockton Hill fatal

The Mohave County sheriff’s office is investigating a Monday traffic fatality about three miles north of the Kingman city limits. Spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said deputies responded at 6:40 p.m. to the single vehicle crash on Stockton Hill Road.


Mortensen said the driver and sole occupant of the pickup truck was fatally injured when the truck struck an embankment and rolled. She said the name of the man, who was pronounced dead at Kingman Regional Medical Center, is withheld pending notification of kin.

Mortensen said alcohol and excessive speed are a focus in the accident investigation.

Motorcyclist killed on Highway 68

A Meadview ma was killed in a Sunday motorcycle crash in Golden Valley. The Department of Public Safety said the accident on Highway 68 occurred at just after 1:50 p.m.

Trooper Kameron Lee said Edward Doran, 71, was eastbound when his motorcycle crashed after leaving the highway and entering the median.

He said Doran was not wearing a helmet.
