MOHAVE COUNTY – Motorists can expect delays of up to 20 minutes when traveling between southern Mohave County and Phoenix, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.


The agency says crews began pavement repair work on U.S. 93 between Wickenburg and Wikieup – mileposts 109-191 –Monday, April 23. The work will continue through Thursday, May 3.

A pilot car will guide traffic during lane closures from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

North- and southbound traffic should expect delays of up to 20 minutes from north of Wikieup to north of Wickenburg

On Wednesday, May 2, motorists will be detoured approximately 10 miles to the State Route 71 junction to allow crews to repair both north- and southbound U.S. 93 (mileposts 182-193). The detour will be in place 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be clearly marked.
