How autistic 8-year-old arrived at river remains a mystery

BULLHEAD CITY – The death of an autistic boy who went missing before his body was pulled from the Colorado River has been ruled an accident.

The Mohave County Medical Examiner determined 8-year-old Jeremy Duncan drowned.

The boy’s family reported him missing from their Bullhead City home Saturday morning. A thousand volunteers helped authorities conduct an extensive search in triple-digit heat that was scaled back Saturday evening.

Duncan’s body was recovered from the river after a kayaker reported the discovery Sunday morning.

Police remain quiet on the circumstances surrounding the disappearance and drowning. The investigation continues.
