Local politics spur decision that’s been years in the making

 

GOLDEN VALLEY – Martin Swanty has posted a sign indicating his intent to build an automobile dealership in Golden Valley.

Swanty says he’s owned the three-acre parcel for 14 years. Given current politics and sales tax issues, Swanty says this is a good time for him to pursue opening a small dealership here while keeping his larger Kingman store open, as well.

Bacon unwilling to wait any longer to fill position

 

KINGMAN – Interim City Manager Jim Bacon believes the city needs to get moving with economic development, so he kick-started the effort with the hiring of Gary Kellogg, of Lake Havasu City, as interim Economic Development director.
