KINGMAN – In what will be one of his final public appearances in Kingman, outgoing City Manager John Dougherty will join Mohave County Administrator Mike Hendrix at Wednesday’s monthly meeting of the Mohave Republican Forum.

The Kingman City Council elected not to renew Dougherty’s contract and he leaves the position he’s held since 2013 at the end of November.

As the administrative heads of the city and county, respectively, Dougherty and Hendrix will discuss key issues involving both political subdivisions when the meeting begins at or near 5:30 p.m. at Golden Corral, 3580 Stockton Hill Road.

“There are matters of importance unfolding and planned, which are and will be dramatically affecting the future of Mohave County and the city of Kingman,” said Forum President Richard Basinger in an email.

The meeting room should be available by 4 p.m. Dinner is on your own and a $2 price of admission is required to help pay for the meeting room.

Reservations are requested. For more information, contact Rita Basinger at 928-692-4771, basingerreb@gmail.com; Jayne Seieroe at 714-914-7143, gs2007info@yahoo.com; or Kathie Sturtevant at 928-718-0891, kathie2547@gmail.com.
