KINGMAN – Three teenagers are lucky to be alive following a fiery crash in a stolen car early this morning.

Police responded to the rear of the drugstore in the 2800 block of Andy Devine Avenue at about 1:15 a.m., according to Deputy Police Chief Rusty Cooper.

Cooper in an email said a 14-year-old boy stole a relative’s vehicle and took a couple of friends joy riding.

A family member in another car was chasing the boys when they crashed into a pair of Uptown Drug delivery vehicles and the vehicle burst into flames. The flames spread to the other vehicles and all were deemed a total loss, said Cooper.

Cooper said the 14-year-old was detained at the scene. The other two ran, but their parents called KPD. All three were taken to Kingman Regional Medical Center for evaluation and released to their parents.

Charges are pending, said Cooper.
