KINGMAN - Personnel with the Northern Arizona Consolidated Fire District successfully protected three structures threatened by a May 22 brush fire in northern Kingman. Crews responded at 4 p.m. to the incident at 1040 Huffman Way.

Arriving firefighters encountered a grass and brush fire about a quarter-acre in size.
``Hand lines were deployed to first protect the structures and then extinguish the fire," a news release stated. ``There was no property loss and minor damage to an electrical pole."
Official said it was determined that the fire was set by juveniles who were playing with a lighter.
