KINGMAN - A Kingman teenager faces prosecution for multiple felony burglary, theft and drug offenses.

Police responded to a Dec. 26 report that a male subject was breaking into vehicles in the rear of a fenced yard at a business in the 3900 block of N. Bank St.

“Upon arrival the male subject later identified as Austin Ward, fled on foot. During his attempt to evade capture Ward entered another commercial yard and stole a bike from the back of an RV parked for repair,” Deputy Kingman police chief Rusty Cooper said. “Ward then rode the bike into the parking lot of Kingman High School, where he was ultimately captured.”

Cooper said a usable amount of methamphetamine and some drug paraphernalia were confiscated before Ward, 19, was booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Center.
