BULLHEAD CITY - A young woman who surprise attacked her former lover in Bullhead City has entered a plea agreement that will send her to prison.

Kaley Mansfield, 24, is convicted of aggravated assault for the Sept. 20 incident at a home in the 1200 block of Arcadia Boulevard.

Prosecutor Amanda Claerhout said Mansfield and her 57-year-old victim were lying on a bed when she pulled a knife from her purse and stabbed the man four times. Claerhout said the man who suffered stab wounds to his hand, shoulder and abdomen was also choked by Mansfield before he broke free and fled the residence for help.

Terms of the deal require Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle to impose a prison sentence of up to 8.75 years during a Feb. 5 sentencing hearing.
