Accused in shooting death of Sid Cranston

KINGMAN - The stage is set for a second jury trial in a high profile Mohave County murder case. A mistrial was declared last Sept. when a witness provided testimony that the jury was not supposed to hear.

Mohave County Superior Court Judge Rick Lambert rejected dismissal and other final pre-trial motions during a Jan. 4 hearing.

Alfredo Blanco, 63, faces first degree murder and other charges in the 2015 shooting death of 40-year-old Sid Cranston.

Jury selection is scheduled to begin Jan. 15 for a trial that will stretch over two weeks.
