CHLORIDE – Every year historic Chloride honors the miners who labored day and night to remove the silver and gold in the 70-plus mines east of town in the Cerbat Mountains. Chloride’s Special Events Committee will host this year’s Old Miner’s Day celebration on Saturday, October 20. A variety of activities are planned including gold panning, children’s games, a hilarious parade down Tennessee Avenue, live music and much more. Parade entries are still being taken. You can get a parade entry form by calling Merle at 530-604-8763. For more information about vendor spots call Ruby or Allen at 928-565-4888 or email chloridechamber@gmail.com.
