BULLHEAD CITY - On December 30, 2018, at approximately 1:30 p.m. firefighters were dispatched to the 1300 block of Arcadia Blvd. for the report of a garage on fire.

Arriving Crews reported all of the occupants were outside of the structure, but the family’s pets were unaccounted for. Firefighters worked quickly to attack the blaze keeping the fire contained to the garage area and were able to locate and rescue all four of the family’s pets.

Battalion Chief Livermore advised that the home was equipped with working smoke alarms which alerted the residents of the danger. Although the fire was contained, the home did receive smoke damage throughout the structure displacing both occupants. A request for the Red Cross was made to assist the family. Firefighters completed the overhaul process and turned the scene over to fire investigators. The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time.
