KINGMAN - The Urban Home Horticulture Course provides research-based training specific to gardening in the desert.

Topics include: soils, basic botany, irrigation, composting, plant propagation, vegetables and herbaceous annuals, raised bed and container gardening, how to select, stake and prune trees and shrubs, fruit trees, native plants, entomology, integrated pest management, and plant diseases.

The 13-week course will be held on Thursday mornings starting January 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Mohave County Cooperative Extension Office, 101 E. Beale St. Registration and additional information is available at our website
