It was a Halfway Hoedown Saturday, January 12 and 26 as the Kingman Kutups Club gathered together into the new year to share some laughs, fun and good ole square dancing.

“The Kingman Kutups started before 1964 and has been in existence for over 50 years,” says Sharon Peters, President. The club dances at plus and mainstream levels on the second and fourth Saturday of every month at the Kathryn Heidenreich Adult Center on Airway Ave in Kingman. Classes are held on Thursday evenings at St. John Methodist Church on Kino in Kingman.

The club welcomes any new members and recommends that interested parties know how to square dance. Basic square dance lessons are offered for all ages on Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. February 2 through February 24 at the Senior Center, 1776 Airway Avenue in Kingman. The cost is $75 per person for four weeks. The Kutups also have upcoming events, including but not limited to, The Sweetheart Dance February 9, The Hat Dance February 23, and Wearing of the Green March 9 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Kathryn Heidenreich Adult Center.
