Discount Mohave County Fair ride tickets available
KINGMAN - The Mohave County Fair is coming September 13 through 16, and patrons can buy a Ride All Day, Any Day ride coupon for just $20 from the 4-H Interstate Exchange Club - a 33% savings. There are a limited number of tickets and 4-H will be selling them while supplies last. International Day of Peace to be observed
KINGMAN - This year's formal observation of the International Day of Peace, September 21, will be held at Locomotive Park in Kingman from 10 a.m. to noon. Bring your own peace signs and a lawn chair. This event is a peace rally, not a partisan antiwar event. Morning activities include peace face painting and music.

Coffee with the mayor, city manager slated for September 14
LAKE HAVASU CITY - Lake Havasu City Mayor Mark S. Nexsen and City Manager Jess Knudson announce the next Coffee with the Mayor and City Manager will be held on the second Friday of the month, September 14, at Makai Café, 1425 McCulloch Boulevard from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Residents are encouraged to attend to express any issues, concerns, or questions. The meeting does not require an RSVP and is an informal come-and-go setting.

“Dig it” community garden to host dedication ceremony
KINGMAN – “Dig it” Kingman community gardens will host a Dedication Day at the Garden, 2301 Lillie Ave. (next to Cecil Davis Park). The event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 22, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. It is to dedicate the Eagle Scout garden beds. The Children’s Garden and new benches will be highlighted. Host a game booth at the Fall Fun Fair
LAKE HAVASU CITY - The Lake Havasu City Parks and Recreation Department invites all groups and persons who want to host a game booth at the Fall Fun Fair to attend a committee meeting to learn more about Fall Fun Fair and how you can participate. The Fall Fun Fair is a community fundraising event benefiting non-profits, PTAs, PTOs and service groups. Come out and raise funds, show support, and bring awareness about your group or club to the community.
The committee meetings are scheduled for Thursday, September 6, at 10 a.m. or 5 p.m. and are held at the Aquatic and Community Center, 100 Park Avenue in Room 153/154.

KINGMAN – Kingman Area Books Are Magic (KABAM) will once again offer a poetry slam as part of the 13th Annual KABAM Festival. KINGMAN – The Kathryn Heidenreich Adult Center (KHAC) will host its monthly dinner on Thursday, Sept. 13 beginning at 4 p.m. until the food is gone. This month’s dinner is pulled pork barbecue sandwiches, cole slaw, and baked beans for a $6 donation. Dessert will be provided by Compasses Hospice. KHAC is located at 1776 Airway Ave.

Chloride to host annual Old Miner's Day
CHLORIDE – Every year historic Chloride honors the miners who labored day and night to remove the silver and gold in the 70-plus mines east of town in the Cerbat Mountains. Chloride’s Special Events Committee will host this year’s Old Miner’s Day celebration on Saturday, October 20. A variety of activities are planned including gold panning, children’s games, a hilarious parade down Tennessee Avenue, live music and much more. Parade entries are still being taken. Halloween craft project offered at library
KINGMAN – The Mohave County Library Kingman branch will be hosting a Halloween painting craft event on Tuesday, Oct. 30. The free craft project is open to adults 18 and older from 6 to 8 p.m. Participants will be painting Halloween terra cotta pot figurines.
